Mary Suzette Angeles is a research specialist at the Molecular Diagnostics and Cellular Therapeutics at the Lung Center of the Philippines. She is part of the team that provides Immune Cell Therapy and other molecular tests for cancer patients and other degenerative diseases.
She led the team of scientists responsible for developing a Circulating Tumor Cell Analysis (liquid biopsy), a non-invasive sensitive test that detects residual cancer cells in the body. It supports the development of targeted chemotherapy research to lessen the adverse side effects of cancer treatment and aid clinicians in identifying more-suited treatments for cancer patients.
