Philippine Science High-School-Central Visayas Campus conducted a Capacity Building Development Seminar for Faculty and Staff last March 25-26, 2024 at Cebu Club Fort Med Resort in Poblacion, Boljoon, Cebu.
Co-organized by the Curriculum and Instruction Division (CID) and Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) and spearheaded by Dr. Riza Reyna G. Calma, Assistant CID Chief for Student Affairs, the event aimed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and grit of PSHS-CVisC faculty and staff in responding to the demands of offering premier secondary STEM education to scholars of the nation.
The first day featured the Ego State Profile among a myriad of topics. Participants shared their dominant ego states which led to a deeper understanding of each other’s behavior to promote better communication and relationships among colleagues.
The second day focused on conflict resolution where participants got the chance to offer positive strokes to each other eventually appreciating each other’s diverse positive traits.
Dr. Glenn G. Glarino, an international psychologist and Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences of the University of San Carlos, was the speaker and facilitator for the event.
