Scholars nanoscience video wins second place in chemistry competition

PSHS-CVisC Grade 12 scholar Nathan Josiah Elmido was part of the team of students who received the Best Presentation Award at the 8th APEC Conference for Teen Scientists conducted virtually in June of this year.

Elmido, together with his groupmates from China, Thailand, Korea, and PSHS Calabarzon, participated in a research project on machine learning in agriculture.

The team was under the mentorship of Prof. Sat Byul SEO from Kyungnam University, South Korea.

The APEC conference is an annual event that targets teen participants who have strong interests in scientific research. It endeavors to promote joint research activities of students pursuing STEM from APEC member economies, including the Philippines.
