The Chemistry Unit of Philippine Science High School – Central Visayas Campus (PSHS-CVisC) made ethyl alcohol (70%) personally after stores had run out of supply amid COVID-19 pandemic.
The alcohol was given away for free to PSHS-CVisC employees so as to promote hand disinfecting inside the campus.
The school suspended its physical classes last week and opted to adopt distance learning where students can access instructions and materials from online classrooms.
As of this writing, the Philippines has recorded 140 cases of COVID-19. Authorities are encouraging the public to practice regular hand washing, stay indoors, and observe social distancing.
