DOST Asec. Raymund E. Liboro, along with other key DOST personnel, made a visit to PSHS - Central Visayas Campus on June 19, 2015.  They were at that time in the middle of their science roadshow "Science Nation Tour: Agham na Ramdam" in Cebu for their Central Visayas stop from June 18 - 20.

Asec. Liboro, the OIC Director of Science and Technology Information Institute (STII), was accompanied with DOST 7 Director Edilberto L. Paradela and other DOST personnel in having their lunch together with Pisay-CVisC employees led by Campus Director Dr. Warren D. Cordeta.

Asec. Liboro, in his short but informative speech during the welcome program, addressed the importance of "branding" in the wide array of DOST projects and programs.  He specifically mentioned the "Science Nation Tour: Agham na Ramdam" program.

Prior to their school visit, Asec. Liboro, Director Paradela and other personnel, showed up first at a mountain barangay of Lingigon, Argao, Cebu to inspect one of DOST's project under "Small Enterprises Technology Upgrading Program" (SETUP).  SETUP provides assistance to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) via funding, technology upgrade, and manpower training to enable them to improve product quality, productivity, and competitiveness.

The SETUP beneficiary of Argao, Kimes Foods International, is engaged in the processing and preservation of fruits and vegetables.

Science Nation Tour concluded with the awarding ceremony for the 2015 Regional Invention Contest and Exhibit (RICE) entries on June 20, 2015 where PSHS-CVisC garnered 1st prize of the SIBOL Award - High School Category for their invention entitled "Human Locomotion VIBRA-E (Vibrational Energy) Harvester Prototype for Powering Light Emitting Diode" which uses piezoelectric materials that contain plates made of lead zirconate titanate to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy (AC voltage).
